Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born in Greenfield, OH, on January 23, 1925, he was a son of the late Pete Parales, Sr., and Persa Stangovitch Parales. He served in the United States Army during World War II and received the European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 3 Bronze Stars, American Theater Ribbon WWII Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal. Pete retired from Martin Vegue Funeral Home in Marathon, FL and was a member of North Anderson Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of sixty-one years, Willadean Kendall Parales of the home; children: James D. Parales and wife, Cheryl of Anderson, SC, John D. Parales and wife, Vickie of Dayton, OH, Joseph D. Parales of Tempe, AZ, and Jay D. Parales of Lehigh Acres, FL; sisters: Lula Foley of Columbus, OH, and Nena Moore of Covington, KY; brother, James Parales of Chandler, AZ; and six grandchildren: Jordaan Parales, Jonathon Parales, Jessica Parales-Crites, Jalyn Parales, Stephanie Parales, and Julie Ann Parales and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at North Anderson Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Bill Rigsby. The family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of North Anderson Baptist Church, 2308 North Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
