PETER HOWANSKY September 7, 1927 - August 26, 2006FAIR PLAY, SCMr. Peter Howansky, age 78, husband of Barbara Shelton Howansky of 126 Bass Drive, Fair Play, SC, died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC.Born in Albany, NY on September 7, 1927, Mr. Howansky was a son of the late Samuel Howansky and Anna Humacka Howansky. He was a retired custom cabinet builder and was a member of the Tabernacle of the Lord in Anderson.He is survived by his wife, Barbara Shelton Howansky of the home; sons, Steve Howansky of Walker, LA, David Howansky of Westminster, SC, Norman Howansky of Lumberton, TX, Joseph Howansky of Middleton, OH, Samuel Howansky and Paul Howansky, both of Denham Springs, LA; daughters, Ruth Howansky Agard and Mary Howansky Reynolds, both of Walker, LA, Hazel Howansky Jordan of Eustace, TX and Rose Howansky of Anderson, SC; brothers, John, David and Daniel Howansky, all of Albany, NY; thirty three grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his extended family, David Maness of Fair Play, SC, Sandra Dixon of Anderson, SC and Amie Martinez of California. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Swota and Martha Tilemma.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Tabernacle of the Lord officiated by the Reverend Luke Gibson.
