Virginia M. "Polly" Wilson, of Anderson, SC went to her Heavenly home with her family by her side on Monday, February 19, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Abbeville, SC, she was a daughter of the late William "Bill" McConnell and the late Susie Minor McConnell. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tony Loner; infant daughter, Darlene Loner; five brothers and three sisters. She was a master cosmetologist and was the first homecoming queen of Dixie High School. Polly was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She taught Sunday school for many years and loved working with the Senior group at her church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She had a golden heart that loved unconditionally and always saw the best in everyone She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Fred Wilson; daughters, Tina Walters (David), Tammy Fulmer (Don) and Fredda Jordan (Gus); sister, Mary Jo Stewart (William); grandchildren, Hunter Fulmer and his girlfriend, Leigh Anderson who gave special care to her, Whitney Loner Pitts (Ronnie), Evan Loner, Wil Walters and Molly Walters; two step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews, who she loved very much. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday, February 22, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Sam Duncan and Rev. David Walters officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at the home of Tina and David Walters, 302 Knollwood Drive, Anderson, SC.
