She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a homemaker and a member of Faith Memorial Tabernacle.Survivors include her daughters, Kay Tate Crittendon and Diane Tate Dyar and her husband, Millard; one grandson, Louie Crittendon; a brother, Azel Freeman; and two special friends, Joan Harrell and Bonnie Simmons.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Louie Elrod Tate and her second husband, Walter L. Harris; sixteen brothers and sisters and a great-granddaughter, Destiny Crittendon.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Alma Yates, Paul Williams and Greg Hammond.
