Ralph Cash, age 94, of Pendleton, SC, was welcomed into Heaven by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, February 8, 2021. A member of "the greatest generation", Ralph was a veteran of the United States Navy who served during WWII. He was a retired Field Superintendent from Piedmont Mechanical Contractors of Spartanburg. Ralph was a charter member of the Sandy Springs Volunteer Fire Department where he volunteered for 25 years before health issues forced him to retire. A long-time member of Welcome Baptist Church, he served as a Sunday School teacher and decades long member of the choir where his love of Southern Gospel music was legendary. He was an avid reader, always interested in learning, and he possessed a sharp, clear mind until his death. Ralph is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Mildred Bowie Cash; his beloved daughter, Kimberly Cash; and his younger sister, Janelle Cash Church (Bill) of Cross Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Carlton Cash and Ida Belle Anderson Cash. The family will receive friends Friday, February 19, 2021, from 1:30-2:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Watson officiating.
