Ralph Dewayne Day, age 74, of Townville, SC, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at his home. Born November 28, 1947, in Baton Rouge, LA, he was a son of the late Ora Coe Day, Jr. and Margaret Louise Hollier Day. Ralph was a retired electrician with Exxon. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and sports. He was also a craftsman and enjoyed making his own fishing lures and pool sticks as he enjoyed shooting pool. He is survived by his son, Jamie Day (Donna) of Townville, SC; daughter, Carey Day Young (Chip) of Asheville, NC; brothers, Ora Coe Day, III, Scott Day, and Van Day; sisters, Jean Daigle, Minette Prior, and Madelyn Mayhew; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Ott. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 at 11:00 am at The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Noelle Read officiating. There will be no visitation. The family will be at their respective homes.
