He was retired from Cushman Plant. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williamston where he served as a former deacon, co-teacher of the Cooley B. King Sunday School class, an usher, minister to the home-bound, and served on various church committees.Surviving is his wife, Agnes Duncan Guyton of the home. Also surviving are his sisters, Mabel G. Parrot of Wesley Commons in Greenwood, SC, Erma G. Hicks of Milledgeville, GA and a brother, P.V. Guyton of Paoli, PA. He was the son of the late A.M. Guyton and Eva Vandiver Guyton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, late Gladys Guyton and the late Lillian Guyton; two brothers, the late James C. Guyton and the late A.M.Guyton, Jr.The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Williamston with the Reverend Brad Bardin officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Anderson. Active pallbearers will be David Ford, Terry Solesbee, Tommy Walker, John Gilreath, Francis Bell and Jimmy Major. Honorary escort will be Lory Coker, Elmo Sims, Marion Middleton and the deacons and former deacons of the First Baptist Church of Williamson.The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Williamston from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Williamston, P.O.
