Ralph Junior Chasteen, age 91, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at his residence. Born in Anderson, SC on October 19, 1924, he was the son of the late Perry W. Chasteen and the late Willie O'dell Powers Chasteen. He was a graduate of Boy's High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during WWII in Italy 1943-1945. He was a retired cabinet maker at Hamilton Door and Sash Works for more than 55 faithful years. Ralph attended The River of Life Church of God. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Virginia Irene Couch Chasteen; two daughters, Cathy Chasteen White, of Anderson, and Jo Beth Chasteen- Haulbrook and her husband Lester, of Anderson, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Luther W., Charlie C., and William P. Chasteen. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Dyar and Reverend Kevin Jones officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends, prior to the service on Sunday, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
