Anderson, age 79, of 311 Victor Circle, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at his residence.Born in Stephens County, GA on May 26, 1932, Mr. Anderson was a son of the late Julius Anderson and Dolie Patrick Anderson. He previously worked for Owens Corning Fiberglas and retired from Michelin Tire Manufacturing. He was a member of the Piedmont Carving Club. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Fallin Anderson; son, Bev Anderson; daughter, Mel Simpson; brothers, James, Charles, Billy and Herman Anderson; sister, Nettie Stansell; four grandchildren, Travis Anderson, Melida Reeves, Kristen Purdy and Justin Brown and five great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, of 56 years, Faye Gibby Anderson; son, Chris Anderson; sisters, Virginia Sosebee and Sue Ayers.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Ed Hunsinger officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
