Carl Randall Carnes, age 82, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Linley Park Post Acute.

Born October 1, 1941, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Winford Carl Carnes and Polly Wilma Carlton Carnes. He was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Susie Carnes; and close family friend, Kenneth Oakley.

Randy, also affectionately known as "Pete", grew up in the Equinox mill village. In his younger years he loved riding his bicycle. He enjoyed vintage cars, keeping up with the weather forecast, and collecting pipes. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his nephew, Richard F. Carnes; and niece, Suzanne Slacas.

The family will host a private service at a later date. He will be buried next to his parents at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
