OBITUARY/ FLAGRANDY C.PALMERJune 28, 1948 - July 19, 2008ANDERSON, SCRandy C. Palmer, age 60, husband of Lynn Stewart Palmer of 419-B Fants Grove Road, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Rainey Hospice House.Born in Anderson on June 28, 1948, Mr. Palmer was a son of the late Edward Dewey Palmer and Elizabeth Simpson Palmer Spearie. He was most recently employed by KC Steel and Supply Inc. and was a former employee of the Electric City Printing Company for 30 years. Mr. Palmer was also a 3rd degree black belt in American Karate and was the owner and instructor of Randy Palmer's American Karate in the Pendleton area. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and he was of the Baptist Faith.He is survived by his wife, Lynn Stewart Palmer of the home; his sons, Charles Christopher Youngblood and his wife, Alison of Anderson, Timothy Allen Youngblood and his wife, Kelly of Abbeville, SC and Christopher Cornell Palmer of Walhalla, SC; his daughter, April Michelle Smith of Anderson; his sisters, Connie Gilbert and her husband, Tony of Nashville, TN and Kathy Chasteen and her husband, Edward of Anderson; nine grandchildren, Karen Youngblood, Jacob Palmer, Abreigh Youngblood, Bryson Smith, Hailey Youngblood, Adeline Youngblood, Gabriel Smith, Abella Youngblood and Emma Youngblood.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melody Denise Palmer, and a brother, Edward Dwight Palmer.The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Mike Cothran. Interment will follow at Liberty Memorial Gardens in Liberty, SC with military honors.The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the funeral home.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
