June 15, 1947 – February 16, 2026
Walter Randolph Robertson, age 78, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Rainey Hospice House.
Born June 15, 1947, in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Walter H. Robertson and Mildred Lee Langston Robertson.
Randy served in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1975 and received his P.E. He began his engineering career at Sirrine in Greenville, South Carolina working on paper mills. Later, he worked at Affiliated Engineers in North Carolina.
Randy formerly served as an elder at John Knox Presbyterian Church in Greenville, South Carolina and Sanford Presbyterian Church in North Carolina. He was a faithful member of Boulevard Baptist Church in Anderson.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Whitson Robertson of Anderson, SC; daughter, Kathryn Henderson, her husband Chris and their son Colton Jackson all of Virginia; brother, Dale Robertson, his wife Chan of Easley, SC, and their son Jeffrey. Other nephews include Michael Cox of Florida and Scott Whitson of Greenville, SC.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Austin Carty and Dr. Jack Couch officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boulevard Baptist Church Capital Campaign, 700 Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621.
