Randy Brian Summers, age 53, of Iva, SC, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021. He was born June 26, 1967 in Baltimore, MD, and was the son of Madge Elizabeth Church Jones. Raised in Ellicott City, Maryland, he joined the United States Army after graduating high school. Randy was a proud American and was stationed at the Pentagon. Following the military, he had a career at United Rentals that spanned more than 20 years. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and most recently was the Shop Foreman in the Anderson, SC location. Randy enjoyed fishing, time with his family and loved riding his Harley. He was a devoted family man with a great sense of humor and was caring and respectful to everyone he encountered. Randy will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, son, and brother. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debbie Wiles Summers; mother and step-father, Madge and Cecil Jones; son, Randy Summers, II; daughter, Samantha Summers; and brother, Steve Summers. He was preceded in death by his brother, Glenn "Buddy" Summers; and his Granny, Isabel Duvall. There will be a family memorial service at a later date in Maryland.
