Olin Ray Daniel, age 86, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at the home.

Born July 10, 1937 in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late James Daniel and Ruth Swafford Daniel.

He retired from Sears as a Department Manager after a thirty-year career and was the former owner of Ray Daniel Auto Sales. He served his country in the Air Force with four years of active duty and thirty years with the Air Force Reserves, retiring with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member of Barnette Lodge #106. A dedicated member of Oakwood Baptist Church, he had served as a former deacon and member of the school board. He was married to his wife, Janine, for sixty-eight years.

He is survived by his wife, Janine Junkins Daniel; two sons, Jim Daniel (Christie) and Kevin Daniel (Shannon); three granddaughters, Jennifer Daniel Cooley (Tyler), Jordan Daniel Richey (Justin), and Tiffani Cooke (Dylan); six great-grandchildren, Raeleigh, John Wyatt, Judson, Harlan, Axell and Coy.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm at Oakwood Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with the Rev. Michael Jones officiating. The committal service will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, at 1:00 pm at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military honors presented by Campbell Patriots.

The family will be at the residence.
