Ramon Edward "Ray" Froman, age 87, of Anderson, SC, devoted husband to Betty Parker Froman for 67 years, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023, at Rainey Hospice House. Born January 28, 1935, in Gary, IN, he was the son of the late Ralph E. Froman and Irene Sheets Froman. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering, Class of 1961. He retired from Rockwell International as Director of Avionics Research and Engineering for the B-1B Lancer program in 1996, and from Boeing Corporation as Director of Avionics for Bomber Software in 1999. He was a loving husband, father, brother and faithful friend. A steadfast faith in the Lord that he will be raised up to Him in glory and be reunited with all those he loved and who have loved him. He was a member of All Saints Anglican Church. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Lynda Williams (Mike), and Jeffrey Froman (Cheryl); and granddaughter, Georgia Froman (Nikita Komaroff). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Keith Edward Froman, 2012; grandson, Tyler Ramon Williams, 2012; and brother, Derry Lee Froman, 2021. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church at a later date.
