Leonard Ray Grant, age 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born February 3, 1939, in Pelzer, SC, he was the son of the late Bernie Mae Tucker Grant. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Katrina Grant Gray; and 10 siblings.

Ray faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, earning the rank of Tech Sergeant before retiring. He was the previous owner of R&W Sand and Stone Trucking Company. He had a passion for El Caminos, was a Mason, and a member of Orrville Methodist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Alexander Grant; daughter, Sheila Grant Wannamaker (Michael) and their son, Michael Grant Wannamaker; grandson, Dean Gray (Autumn); brother, Harold Grant; 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service with military honors will be held Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will speak with guests immediately following the service.
