Ray Hart, age 69, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born September 17, 1951 in Iva, SC, he was the son of the late Sam Hart and Betty Keown Hart. Ray was an automotive technician with Toyota of Greenville for 27 years. He loved and collected classic cars and even though he was a dialysis patient for many years, it did not diminish his joy for going to car shows. Ray was a member of Bible Deliverance Church where he was an ordained minister and was the song leader for many years. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Susan Mosley Hart of the home; daughters, Cynthia Marie Hart (Andrigues), and Patsy Sue Mitchell (Sherwin) both of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Mr. Cody Blake Mitchell, Miss Carson Riley Mitchell, and Miss Zion Makayla Belton; and siblings, Rev. Thomas Hart and Rev. Carolyn Brown, and honorary brother, David Watt, all of Anderson, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chloe Olivia Mitchell. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Bible Deliverance Church with Rev. Carolyn Brown and Rev. Thomas Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Flowers will be accepted and memorial contributions may be made to Bible Deliverance Church, 1631 Hwy 29, Anderson, SC 29621.
