Raymond William Morris, age 81, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 9, 2021. Born October 23, 1939, in Avera, GA, he was the son of the late Joseph Edwin Morris and Alda Williams Morris. Ray was a veteran of the United States Navy and was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for over 25 years. During the last eight years of his life, he enjoyed working at Publix on Clemson Boulevard. Ray formerly attended Rock Springs Baptist Church and was currently a member of Graceview Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Ann Grey Morris; children, Tonya Owens (Lee), Michael Morris (Sally), Candy Cheek Badarno (M.J.), and Steffanie Dickerson (Jamie); granddaughters, Coral and Montgomery; grandson, Jared; and siblings, Lee and Mary Catherine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas. The family will receive friends, Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
