RAYMOND W. LOLLIS Raymond Walter Lollis, age 83, of 628 Ivy Circle, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House surrounded by his family whom he loved dearly. Born in Anderson on August 14, 1930, he was the son of the late Walter Lollis and the late Ruby Gambrell Lollis. For 62 years, he was the faithful and devoted husband of Rebecca Ann Oakes Lollis of the residence. Mr. Lollis was a graduate of Williamston High School after which he proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Together with his wife, Rebecca, they founded and were partners in the Lollis Insurance Agency in Anderson, a business they operated together for 35 years. Raymond loved traveling to the mountains and the beach, watching Atlanta Braves baseball, and most important to him was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Rebecca, Mr. Lollis is survived by 2 sons, Tim Lollis and his wife, Corley, and their sons, Emory and Allen, of Greer, and Ted Lollis and his daughters, Lindsey and Leslie, of Anderson; 2 brothers, Harrison Lollis of MO, and James Lollis of Anderson; and a sister Brenda Campbell and her husband, Ronnie, of MO In addition to his parents, Mr. Lollis was preceded in death by a son, Tony Raymond Lollis, and 3 brothers, Charles, J.C. and David Lollis. A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate the life of Raymond Lollis will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 10 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Charles Holland officiating. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, June 27, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The family suggests contributions in memory of Raymond may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
