ANDERSON, SC RAYMOND C. WALPOLE Raymond C. Walpole, age 67, of Anderson, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015, at the Richard M. Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home. Born on August 19, 1947 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Charles George Walpole, Sr. and the late Virginia Robeson Walpole. Raymond proudly served his country in the US Army. He was an avid sports fan and was especially fond of the NY Yankees. Raymond loved working outdoors. Survivors include a sister, Mary McPhillips of Anderson; a brother, Lawrence Walpole and his wife, Helen, of West Nyack, NY; a special niece, Shana Makison, and husband, Jonathan, of Anderson; a special nephew, Dustin McPhillips and his girlfriend, Jacki Brown, of Poughkeepsie, NY; three great-nieces, Brooklyn, Skylar and Alexis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo Francis Walpole and Charles G. Walpole, Jr.; and a sister, Agnes Marie Clark. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Committal Shelter at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery, with Rev. Ray Pruitt officiating.
