HOLCOMBEOCTOBER 21, 1924 - JanUARY 27, 2010ANDERSON, SC ' Reba Hill Holcombe, age 85, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born in Royston, GA, on October 21, 1924, she was a daughter of the late General Gordon Hill and Clara Belle Berryman Hill. She retired from BASF and was the owner of A & R Marine Salvage. She was a member of Orrville United Methodist Church.Survivors include her granddaughters: Jessie Bradley of Columbia, and Betsy Holcombe of Anderson; great grandchildren: Haley Roberts, Hannah Roberts, and Jeremiah Holcombe. She is also survived by one brother, Paul Hill; and one sister, Ruby Lashley, both of Florida.She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen B. Holcombe; and her children: Leavern Holcombe Bevill and Edwin Allen Holcombe.The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 2 pm on Friday, January 29, 2010, at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home at 2:30 pm and will be conducted by the Reverend Dr. Jack Couch. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
