Rebecca Marie Davis Hawkins, age 80, of Belton, SC, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at her home.

Born March 22, 1944, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. Davis and Marie Watson Davis. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Roger Dale Hawkins; daughter, Dana Hawkins; and brother, Robert Davis.

Rebecca was a medical assistant for 20 years working at several different physician's offices in the Anderson area throughout her career. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and enjoyed attending Ladies Bible Study. She was known for her family famous banana pudding and enjoyed making cakes for her friends. She remembered everyone's birthday and loved receiving and collecting cards from people. Rebecca enjoyed reading all types of books and was known for her fun personality and sense of humor. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family more than anything.

She is survived by her husband, Donald L. FitzGerald; grandchildren, Sydni Meredith (Dillon), Kelsey Campbell, Carli Campbell, and Jalayne FitzGerald; great granddaughter, Hadlee Meredith; and stepson, Donald L. FitzGerald, Jr. (Lacey).

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 2:00-3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Keith Hare officiating. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Agape Hospice.

The family will be at the residence.
