Reedy Montez Isbell Dyar, age 89, of Townville, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at her home.

Born March 15, 1937, in Oconee County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Doris Isbell and Gertrude Kay Isbell. She was married for 60 years to David "D.J" Judson Dyar until his death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Frank Isbell; and 3 sisters, Lois Carver, Louise Harvell, and Elizabeth Lyles.

Montez was employed with West Point Stevens for 40 years before retiring. She was a hard worker who spent her days working to provide for her family. She loved all animals but especially her dog Ralphie. She was a nurturing and wonderful caregiver who loved everyone in her life. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Gunter and her husband Keith; sister, Linda Cole; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
