Rev. Olin McClellan Dobson, age 85, of 1234 Lee Dobbins Road, Anderson, SC, husband of the late Mildred Ellen Peace Dobson, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007.Born in Anderson SC on December 12, 1921, Rev. Dobson was the son of the late William Dobson and Addie Gillespie Dobson. He retired from the ministry where he served as pastor at Green Pond Baptist Church. He was self-employed for 45 years as owner and operator of Dobson Feed and Seed. He was faithful member of Andersonville Baptist Church where he served as deacon and former teacher of the Men's Sunday School class. He was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge and served in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific.Survivors include sons, Rick Dobson of Starr, SC and John Dobson of Anderson, SC; half-brother, Warren Fowler of Gaffney, SC and half-sister, Ruth Hall of Anderson, SC.He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Dobson and step-father, Jim Fowler.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Andersonville Baptist Church officiated by the Reverend Bruce Evans. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by the Upstate Veterans Honor Guard.The family will receive friends at the Andersonville Baptist Church on Friday, March 30, 2007 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Memorials may be made to the Andersonville Baptist Church, 6902 Dobbins Bridge Road, Anderson, SC 29626.THE MC DOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
