Rev. Daniel Berry "Danny" Driver, age 67, devoted husband to Peggy Elrod Driver for 48 years and 11 months who he treated like a queen, of Pendleton, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at his residence. Born June 3, 1954, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Clyde David Driver and Frances Smith Medlin. Rev. Driver was the current Pastor of New Beginning Church of God of Prophecy in Clinton, SC. His life was his ministry where he honorably pastored numerous churches over the course of 40 years. These churches included: Glen Grove COGOP, Westside Anderson COGOP, Gray Court COGOP, Clinton COGOP, Pleasant Grove COGOP, and New Beginning Church of God COGOP. In addition to his loving wife, Peggy, he is survived by his brothers, Butch Driver, Tony Driver (Rene), and Scott Medlin; sister, Pam Medlin; sisters-in-law, Linda McCall (Larry), and Debbie Lewis (Jimmy); and furry friend, Gabby. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 26, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at East Clemson Christian Fellowship with Bishop Eddie Crocker, State Bishop of SC, COGOP, George McLaughlin, and Larry McCall officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
