Rev. Frank Anderson Norris, beloved pastor of Varennes Presbyterian Church, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, on February 9, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert and Irene Anderson Norris. He was a 1960 graduate of Boys' High School in Anderson. He loved his country and served in the SC Army National Guard for thirty-three years and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. Frank was married to Martha Yeargin Norris for forty-five years. He has joyfully served as pastor of Varennes Presbyterian Church for the past twelve years. In addition to his wife of the home, Frank is survived by three sons, Dr. Andy Norris and his wife Sandra of Anderson, SSG David W. Norris and his wife Elizabeth of Fort Dix, NJ, and Robert Norris and his wife Marianne of Anderson; a brother, Robert G. Norris and his wife Rosalee of Anderson; a sister-in-law, Margaret Yeargin Hale and her husband Sam of Sylva, NC; four grandchildren, Ben Norris, Virginia Norris, Caroline Norris, and Abigail Norris; blessed with three step-grandchildren, Timothy Richey, Captain Joshua Richey and his wife Megan, and Elizabeth Dean and her husband Danny; and four step-great-grandchildren, Bella, Blake, Eliana, and Kathryn. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nancy Rene Norris; a father-in-law, Woodrow Yeargin; and a mother-in-law, Virginia Patterson Yeargin. The Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. at Varennes Presbyterian Church, 409 Varennes Church Rd., Iva, SC, with Rev. Sanders Read, Rev. Beryl Rosenberger and Rev. Richard Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Varennes Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
