Rev. Billy Standard, age 85, of Belton, SC, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Born April 14, 1936, in Fair Play, SC, he was a son of the late Claude Standard and Leila Reese Standard. He was married to the late Carrie Gunnells Standard. Billy spent 54 years as a Church of God minister and loved going to church. He was a member of Donalds Church of God. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Little (Joe) of Belton, SC, and Carolyn Dyar of Honea Path, SC; grandchildren, Paul Dyar, Adam Standard, Drew Little, and Whitney Little; 4 great grandchildren and 4 step-granddaughters; sisters, Dollie Garner, Margie McCoy, Frances "Frank" Whitfield, and Betty McGee; and special brother in law, Frank "Bunny" Brown. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charlie Standard; brothers, Dock and Bud; and sisters, Leila Mae Murphy and Beatrice Minor. The family will receive friends Monday, June 14, 2021, from 12:30-1:30 pm at Donalds Church of God. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. James Ray Lollis officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories, Belton, SC. Flowers will be accepted and memorial contributions may be made to Donalds Church of God, 335 W. Main St., Donalds, SC 29638.
