WISLERMAY 14, 1940 - JanUARY 3, 2012ANDERSON, SC ' The Reverend Dr. Darla Lee Douglas Wisler, age 71, resident of 8 Harbor Gate, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born May 14, 1940, in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Charles Douglas and Angela Rita Poffel Douglas Mayer. Dr. Wisler received her ABS, THB, M.Div., and D. Min. degrees from the Christian International School of Theology in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and was the Senior Pastor of Living Water Church. Additionally, Dr. Wisler was the Dean of the Living Water Bible College and in 2006 she founded the Living Water Ministry Training Center. For many years, she was a Chaplin for Anderson County Sheriff's Department as well as AnMed Health Medical Center. Further, Dr. Wisler was the host & c0-host for channel 16 WGGS in addition to providing mid-week devotions at National Healthcare of Anderson.Survivors include her husband, Norman Marvin Wisler, of the home; son, David P. Wisler, of Anderson, SC; daughter: Diane L. Garder and husband, Blake Garder, of Clayton, GA; sisters: Lana Mae Turner of Seminole, FL, and Donna Jean Werstler and husband, Michael Werstler of Larwill, IN; and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one grandchild.The Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Friday, January 6, 2012, at Living Water Church conducted by the Reverends Helen Morris, Ricky Knight, & Teresa Knight. Interment will follow in the M.J. 'Dolly' Cooper Veterans Cemetery.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday.
