She was a retired insurance agent and home care nurse. In addition, she was an ordained minister.Survivors include her children: Dale Swaney and wife, Kay Crowe Swaney of Loganville, GA and Angela Swaney Bruce and fianc'e, Kevin Snyder of Anderson, SC; grandchildren: Justin Swaney, Amanda Keys, Michael Keys, Alayna Swaney, Samuel Swaney, Christopher Swaney, Karry Bruce, David Bruce, and Robert Braxton Swaney.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Miriam Burdette & Mattie Rogers; and her brother, Sidney Self.The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Scott King.
