RICK ADAMS June 3, 1953 - February 3, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Richard Leon Adams, age 53, husband of Jackie Reed Adams of 3719 Keys Street, Anderson, SC, died Saturday, February 03, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Huntington, West Virginia on June 3, 1953, Mr. Adams was a son of the late James Oswald Adams and Norma Jean Rowsey Washburn. BMCS (SW) MDV Adams served in the United States Navy for twenty-two years and retired from the USS Recovery (ARS-43) at Little Creek, Virginia in 1992. He also retired from Lowe's Home Improvement Store after ten years of service. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve of Anderson and the D.A.V and was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include his wife, Jackie Reed Adams of the home; son, Nicholas Adams of the home; daughters, Kimberley Adams of Columbia, SC and Christina Lumpkin and her husband, Robert who are serving in the U.S. Navy at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC; two grandchildren, Amber Dial and Kahli Dial, both of Jacksonville, NC; brother, Art Pelfrey of Pickens, SC; cousin Mike Jones of Miami, FL and best friend, Jeff Bowman of West Salem, OH.Memorials may be made in memory of Rick Adams to the Leukemia Society of America, 1247 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo, SC 29063.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com.THE MC DOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
