Richard Eugene Blind, age 94, passed away on October 31, 2015 in Duluth, GA. Born in Rochester, New York, on January 6, 1921, he was the son of the late John Blind and the late Genevieve Keeler Blind. Following his graduation from high school, Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during WWII in the South Pacific. He worked as a metal fabricator at General Motors in New York for 38 years retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is survived by his sister, Arline Seen of New York and his step-son Richard Phillips of Suwanee, GA. In additions to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his two wives, Mary M. Breshlawski Blind and Mamie W. McCall Blind. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Building Fund, 1200 Cornelia Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
