Richard Lee Bowen, age 49, of Belton, SC, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born June 29, 1973, in Anderson, he was the son of Robert Lee "Bobby" Bowen and Martha Brenda Hammonds Bowen. Richard attended T.L. Hanna High School where he was a member of the Navy ROTC. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and was a dedicated employee of Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Richard was a loving son and will be missed greatly by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Josie Lee Bowen. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Mae and Marvin Hammonds and Woodrow and Edith Bowen. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Burdette officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30-3:30 pm.
