Mr. Richard Donald Drake, 76, of 310 Greentree Circle, Anderson, SC passed away peacefully at his home on Friday morning March 18th, 2016 with his family at his side. He was born on July 23rd, 1939 to the late Andrew Donald and Evelyn Lee Fisher Drake in Belton, SC. He was a retired US Air Force Senior Master Sargent with over 20 years of unselfish service to his country. He was widowed by his loving wife Betty Drake in February earlier this year. Mr. Drake is survived by his two sons: Todd Drake of Maurice, LA and Andy Drake of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren: Kyle and Tori Drake; one great grandson: Kale Drake; two brothers: Larry Drake and wife Mary Ellen of Honea Path, SC and Phillip Drake and wife Lynn of Anderson, SC; one sister: Debbie Lollis and Husband Harry of Anderson, SC A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Jack Couch officiating. Interment will follow with full Air Force Military Honors at New Silver Brook Cemetery in Anderson, SC. The Drake family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016 at the funeral home before the service.
