Richard Todd George, 72, of Pendleton, South Carolina, passed away on August 9, 2026.

Richard was born on June 13, 1954, in Oconee County, SC. He graduated from Pendleton High School and was an Eagle Scout.

He retired from Michelin Tire in Sandy Springs after 43 years. Richard was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed delivering food for Meals on Wheels after his retirement.

Richard was proceeded in death by his parents, Vance Dewitt George and Helen Stribling George, and ex-wife Dell Fowler George.

He is survived by his two daughters, Susan George Noverola and Nicole Newton (Hunter); two grandchildren, Aiden Carter Webb and Amelia Grace Newton; brothers, David George (Betsy), Harry George (Beverly); sister, Janelle Moore (Doyle).

The family will receive friends from 6- 8 pm on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at The McDougald Funeral Home. A private family graveside will be held.
