Richard B. Grove Anderson, SC Richard Baxter Grove, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at his residence. Born on November 5, 1922, in Montgomery, MD, he was the son of the late George E. and Louise Grove. Richard enjoyed spending time with his wife, Nancy, until her death in 2011. They were avid tennis players, cultural enthusiasts, and supporters of conservation and local charities. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Georgetown University. Richard was a member of St. Mary of the Angel's Catholic Church. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Richard is survived by a sister-in-law, Ann S. Mercer, of New Milford, CT; nephews, Michael J. Mercer, of Snellville, GA, Paul Mercer, of Hilliard, OH, Joseph Mercer, of New Milford, CT; nieces, Lynn S. Rhodes, of Delmar, NY, Jeanne S. Benson, of Rochester, NY, Ami S. Longstreet, of Fayeteville, NY, Barb Hartung, of Mohnton, PA, Patricia Boudreau, of Marlborough, CT, Susan Costanzo, Wallingford, CT, Janice Strelez, of New Milford, CT and Mary Caldwell, of Warren, CT In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Grove. The family would like to thank Rescare Homecare for their compassion and care shown to Richard during his time of illness, especially, Paulette Driver, Michelle Conwell, Cindy Culbertson, Teresa Davis, Patricia Litman, Donna Stanley and Loretta Shaw. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home.
