Richard 'Rick' Anthony Hoffstetter, age 39, of 510 Floyd Wright Drive, husband of Donna McClain Hoffstetter, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009.Rick was born in Williams Port, PA, and was a son of the late Richard John Hoffstetter and Patricia Ann Kulpowsky Hoffstetter of Anderson. He graduated from Daniel High School and was in the US Navy serving on several Submarines. He was presently employed with Day's Carpet Care. He also worked with Chief's Wings & Fire Water and was a former employee of Sonny's Bar-B-Q. Rick was a member of Dixie Bowling League and attended Keowee Baptist Church, Honea Path.In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Dax Hoffstetter; his daughters, Colleen Hoffstetter and Kara Hoffstetter of the home; his brother, Brian Hoffstetter, Anderson; his sisters, Stephanie Lynn Hoffstetter, Anderson, and Dawn Marie Storey, Gilbert, SC; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clyde & Jerelean McClain, Belton; and many other family members and friends.The Funeral Service will be Sunday, May 3, 2009, at 4:00 pm at Keowee Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Jerry L. Mize and Father David Randolph. Interment will follow at Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Hoffstetter will be placed in the church at3:00 pm on Sunday.The family will receive friends Saturday, May 2, 2009, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at The McDougald Funeral Home.The family will be at the home of his mother-in-law and father-in-law, 1529 Bethany Church Road, Belton.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richard Hoffstetter fund at Bank of Anderson, 201 E.
