Mr. Richard A. Hoyle, age 72, of 1205 Echo Hollow died on Saturday, November 26, 2005, at the AnMed Health Center.Mr. Hoyle was born in Maiden, North Carolina on Septbmer 27, 1933, and was the son of the late Guy Luther and Mary Boyd Hoyle. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina and served in the Strategic Air Command of the United States Air Force. Mr. Hoyle retired as an Insurance Executive with Home Security Life and Palmetto State Life Insurance Company. He was an active member of St. John's United Methodist Church, where he had served in several capacities and was currently the Vice President of the Victor Caudle Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the United Methodist Men of St. John's United Methodist Church.In addition to his wife, Betty Shelton Hoyle of the home, a son survives him, Dr. Mark B. Hoyle and his wife Darlene of Anderson; a daughter, Mary M. Miller of Anderson; a stepson, James C. Callaham, Jr. of Anderson; three stepdaughters: Kathi C. Gray and her husband, Sonny of Iva, Shirley C. Glenn and her husband Ronnie of Anderson, Renee C. Bryant and her husband, Ronnie of Anderson; seven grandchildren: Stephanie Adams, Nan C. Edwards, Blake Callaham, Brittany Bryant, Andie Glenn, Michael Callaham, and Dawn White; six great-grandchildren: Nichole Adams, Cole Edwards, Chelsea Edwards, Christopher White, Cody White, and Chandler White; a sister, Patricia Myers of Louisville, Kentucky, also survives Mr. Hoyle.The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2005, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. William R. Childs officiating.
