Richard "Rick" Samuel Lander, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Carol Campbell Lander Brown and the late Richard Orr Lander. Rick was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School and attended Tri County Technical College. He worked as a chemical technician at La France Industries and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by sisters, Patricia Lander Berry, of Anderson and Carol Lander Crocker and her husband Mike, of Anderson; nieces and nephews, Jess Berry, Jason Swift, and Lindsey Berry Arini; and great nieces, Avrie, Greyson, and Ava. The Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Kitty Holtzclaw and Rick's cousin Reverend Larry Parker officiating. The family will be at the home of his sister, Carol Crocker, 505 Fairmont Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
