Richard Alexander LeCroy, age 74, of 110 Winstead Road, West Union, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 31, 2016. Born in Oconee County, SC on May 10, 1942, he was the son of the late Harold LeCroy and the late Mabel Alexander LeCroy. For forty-six years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Doris Virginia Burton LeCroy of the residence. He was employed for several years by the Torrington Company in Walhalla. Richard attended the Walhalla Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to his beloved wife, Doris, Mr. LeCroy is survived by a son, Walter LeCroy and his wife, Lisa, of West Union; a daughter, Amanda LeCroy Chapman of Anderson; two brothers, Gerald LeCroy and his wife, Janyth, of West Union, and Fredrick LeCroy and his wife, Linda, of West Union; a sister, Carolyn Blankenship and her husband, Clarence, of Greenville; and four grandchildren, Jarod and Hannah Chapman, and Will and Wes LeCroy. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. LeCroy was preceded in death by a brother, Tony LeCroy. A Graveside Service to celebrate and honor the life of Richard LeCroy will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Oconee Memorial Park, with Rev. Chris Poulos and Rev. Philip Blankenship officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence following the service.
