Richard Howard Oakley, age 81, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at his home.

Born February 14, 1944, in Appleton, WI, he was the son of the late Arthur Herman Oakley and Doris Kobs Oakley. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Carol Ann Oakley; and sister, Sharon Verhoeven.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Air Force and spent a long career working as a sheet metal supervisor in the manufacturing industry. His hobbies included fishing, being on the lake and traveling. Most of all, he enjoyed life to the fullest and loved spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his partner, Karen Wyman; siblings, Judy Weinfurter of Appleton, WI, twin brother John Oakley of Menasha, WI, Gary Oakley of Tampa, WI, and James "Jim" Oakley of Neenah, WI; and his nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 1:00 pm at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Mr. Michael Rippy as celebrant. Military honors will be conducted by Campbell Patriots.
