Richard Leonard "Dick" Steffanelli, age 77, devoted husband of Peggy Sorrells Steffanelli, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at his residence. Born in Syracuse, NY, on March 1, 1941, he was the son of the late Leonard Steffanelli and Florence Deccio Steffanelli. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by one great-grandchild. Dick worked as a quality control manager retiring from Sony and had formerly worked for Mitsubishi and General Electric. After retirement from Sony, he and Peggy moved to establish their home in Anderson. He was an avid traveler and attended Hope Fellowship Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Peggy Sorrells Steffanelli; children, Mark Steffanelli of Virginia Beach, VA, Sandra Steffanelli and her husband Billy Arnold of Suffolk, VA, and Jay Steffanelli (Sheila) of Chesapeake, VA; brother, John Steffanelli of New Port Richey, FL; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his four legged friend Cindy. There will be a private family service held at The McDougald Funeral Home.
