Richard Wayne Thrasher, age 75, of Pendleton, SC, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Born January 11, 1947, in Union, SC, he was a son of the late Jack Thrasher and Mildred Kiger Thrasher. Richard was a 1965 graduate of TL Hanna High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis McCoy Thrasher; son, Jason A. Thrasher of Anderson, SC; brothers, Jacky Thrasher (Brenda) of Lincolnton, NC, Kenneth Thrasher (Teresa) of Anderson, SC, and Danny Thrasher (Connie) of Anderson, SC; sisters, Judy Freeman (Dan) of Mooresville, NC, and Wanda Ginn of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Hailey Thrasher, Nicholas Thrasher (Sammie), and Carly Thrasher and two great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Thrasher. A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
