Paul Fredrick "Rick" Byce, 69, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at McCall Hospice House with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born on May 20, 1951 in Anderson, SC, to the late Rufus B. Byce and Dorothy Lyles Cromer. Rick was formerly the Director of Operations at Fluor Corporation and retired after 50 years of faithful service to the company. He had an outgoing personality, was full of charm, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. Rick was both a Mason and Hejaz Shriner and member of Wilmington Lodge #319. He was an avid golfer and member of Boscobel Golf & Country Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Judy Porter Byce; daughter, Trica Haraway (Mark); son, Shane Bagwell (Haylie); brothers, Dale Byce and Brad Byce (Jean); sister, Kim McElroy; grandchildren, Taylor, Savanna and Madison Lindley and Tyner Bagwell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 W.
