Richard "Rick" Ernest Rogers, Jr., age 47, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017. Born in Fountain Inn, SC on May 31, 1970, he is the son of Richard Ernest Rogers, Sr. (Gail) of Greer, and Brenda Gail Baldwin Rogers Washington (Thomas) of Honea Path. He was the loving and devoted husband of Donna Michelle Rogers. Rick was a graduate of Hillcrest High School, Class of 1988. He proudly served his country in the US Army. Mr. Rogers was the CFO of Chillertek. He was a faithful member of The Anderson Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Rick was noted for his dedication to his family, the church in which he actively served, and the Boy Scouts of America. In addition to his parents and his wife, Michelle, Rick is survived by one son, Richard Ernest Rogers, III of Anderson; five daughters, Amber Pratt of Medford, OR, Aspen Ballard of Pelzer, SC, Sarah Rogers of Liberty, SC, Kimberly Rogers and Courtney Rogers, both of Anderson; four brothers, David Rogers (Kim) of Houston, TX, and John Rogers (Abby), Paul Rogers (Julie), and Mark Rogers (Crystal) all of Simpsonville, SC; three sisters, Lisa Rogers of Chattanooga, TN, Heatherly Rogers of Honea Path, SC, and Donna Hess (Aaron) of Aurora, CO; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Rick Rogers will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Anderson Ward building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Byron Dial officiating. Interment will follow at the M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery with military honors.
