Rickey Steve Chasteen, age 67, passed away on April 7, 2017 at his residence. Born in Easley, SC on December 8, 1949, he was the son of the late James Leonard Chasteen and the late Margaret Reese Chasteen. Rickey proudly served his country in the Vietnam War while he was enlisted in the United States Army. He worked as an electrician at Perry Correctional Institution where he later retired. He was also a Mason. He is survived by his sons, Rickey Chasteen, II and his wife Ashley, of Anderson, SC and Jason Chasteen; a daughter, Leigh Anne Harmon and her husband Gil, of Lakewood, CO; and three grandchildren, Kaleigh Campbell, Ryleigh and Ansleigh Chasteen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Drake Chasteen. The memorial service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. with the Reverend Rick Kirby officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
