Rickey Dale Powell, Sr., age 63, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born February 12, 1962, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Gerald "Jack" Lamar Powell and Bonnie Ruth Turner Wicker. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Powell Oxner.

Rickey, otherwise known as "Big Boy", formerly worked for Anderson Rescue Squad and Michelin in Sandy Springs. He was a big part of his community and was involved in numerous benefits and Toys for Tots. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple and dearly loved his church. He loved the Clemson Tigers, Harley motorcycles, music and singing. He dearly loved his momma, his children, his family, and his dog Precious.

He is survived by his daughter, Nikki Wickham (Robby) of Anderson; son, Rickey Dale Powell, Jr. (Lindsey) of Pendleton; grandchildren, Branyon, Breanna, Adrian, Abigail, Miles, Marley, Jaxon, and newest granddaughter, Olivia due in September. He is also survived by his brothers, Jack Powell (Carla) of Honea Path and Steve Powell of Greer; sister, Terrie Manley of Abbeville; and several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.
