ROBBIE JO ALLEN January 3, 1925 - September 9, 2005ANDERSON, SCMrs. Robbie Jo Lewis Allen, age 80, of 612 Ashwood Drive, Anderson, SC, went to be with her Saviour on September 9, 2005. Born in Hartwell, GA on January 3, 1925, Mrs. Allen was a daughter of the late James T. Lewis and Dolly M. Adams Lewis. She was retired from Orr Lyons Mill and Joseph Lyons Mill with 48 years of service as a weaving instructor. She was a founding member of Midway Community Church.She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Warren Allen of the home; a son, Ronnie Allen and his wife, Debbie of Anderson, SC; a daughter, Cathy JoAllen Brock of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Jean Huckleberry of Princeton, IL and Emily B. Gordon of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren, Shannon Compton and her husband, Craig of Greenville, SC and Jarod Allen and his wife, Ansley of Anderson, SC and two great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Ann Compton and Connor Anthony Compton.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Luther, Billie, Jule and Hugh Lewis. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Butch Morrison and Mr. Al Pierce. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Anderson, SC.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 11, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.Flowers are optional.
