Robert Joseph "Papa Bob" Bazinet, Sr., age 88, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at his home. Born May 14, 1933, in Taunton, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph Rene Bazinet and Stella Sophie Arcikowski Bazinet. He was married for 59 years to Patricia Ann Bazinet until her death in June 2015. Robert was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 31 years. Robert was a member and past Branch President of Postal Union 439 and a charter member of the Mauldin Lions Club. He was a faithful member of Dickson United Methodist Church where he was served in the Men's Club and the choir. He is survived by his children, Kimberly Ann Schoepske (David) of Jamestown, NC, Bobby Bazinet, Jr. (Allyson Wilson) of Anderson, SC, and Michael Scott Bazinet of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Amber Cravens (Lane), Carmen Longest (John), Austin Schoepske, Lyndsay Vandertoorn, Ryan Bazinet (Lacy), Calli Bazinet, Christopher Bazinet, and Ashley Williams (Jeremy); great grandchildren, Mason, Hudson, Sadie, Hattie, Athyn, Ashton, and Parker; step grandchildren, Robert and Daniel Hohnstein and Matthew Wilson; sisters, Carol Ann Pieria, Sandra Enko, Louise Baptista, and Denise Bazinet; and very special friend, Lib Ricker. The family will receive friends Monday, December 20, 2021, from 2:00-3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 3:30 pm.
