Robert Cecil Bolt, age 89, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC, on September 17, 1925, he was the son of the late Robert T. Bolt and the late Mallie P. Bolt. He was a graduate of Boys High and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II (1944-1945), earning the rank of Seaman First Class. Robert was employed for more than 38 years at Owens Corning Fiberglas, where he retired. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Leahy Bolt; two daughters, Linda Smith and her husband Dickie, and Patti Finley and her husband Ronnie; three granddaughters, Lauren Lindsay, Katie Clampitt, and Chelsea Finley; and one great-granddaughter, Molly Loftis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Riley Finley; two brothers, Paul and Dewitt Bolt; and a sister, Betty Hunnicutt. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with Father Aubrey McNeil, OFM officiating. The family will be at 600 Cathey Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
