He retired from the United States Navy as Chief Petty Officer with 33 years of service.Survivors include his wife, Hazel Smith Calloway of the home; son, Billy Harold Calloway; granddaughter, Kristian Morgan Calloway of Iva; niece Cindy Taylor of Connecticut and loving caregiver, Linda Pitts.No local funeral services are planned. A Committal Service full military honors and burial at sea will be held aboard a United States Naval vessel in the Atlantic Ocean at a later date.
